I bought a takeaway chocolate brownie. I have had many chocolate brownies but none like this one. It was so delicious. Crunchie on the outside and yet moist on the inside. So impressed I went back and tried the quiche which was also very tasty. I would love the recipe for your brownie if you are willing to share it. If I was staying in the area I would have loved to have tried your hot chocolate as the ones pictured on google look delicious. Well done.
Lovely spot to visit and enjoy some lovely food. The artwork and giftstore items were gorgeous too.
An unexpected treasure! We were driving from Northern Ireland to Galway and took a random stop along the way. Visited the most charming church and the resting place of WB Yeats. Then noticed this little unassuming cafe. The aromas were fantastic. We ordered the Ploughman's sandwich - it was jaw dropping! The focaccia bread alone is worth the trip! But the quality of the meat and cheese was exceptional. The Quiche Lorraine and soup of the day (carrot, parsnip and lentil that particular day) were satisfying, yet light. We couldn't resist the apple pie, and we were not disappointed in the least!! After all the heavy meals we've had throughout Ireland, this is one of my favorite meals. It felt healthy, yet satisfying. Don't miss this little gem!
If U need a break from N15. Nice coffee, good toilet, and a small corner for gifts.
This was stunning. 20 metres from the resting place of WB Yeats, with a view of Benbulben I enjoyed a very very very good flat white and the most delicious sausage roll of my 40 years. I’ve never had a sausage roll like it ! Highly recommend to all.
Well, where do I start. I was caught out on a blizzard on benbulben, I had a life and death moment. Descended down the sligo side of the mountain early hours, missed my bus an ended up out the front of this beautiful cafe. Michelle the owner could see the distress in my face as she invited me in for a coffee on the house. I had to try their almond crossiants as they are my favourite, absolutely delightful. The friendly staff ran through there tasty pastrys and after hearing about the gunniesss soda bread I had to take a loaf with me which I am snacking on now. Michelle was heading to sligo and dropped me in as I missed the bus. I will always remember this generosity, kindness and hospitality. I really appreciate that there are people like Michelle out there. I will pass this on next time I meet someone in a situation. Thank you so much and I will be back when my partner arrives in ireland. Thanks again x
I go to this café every time I’m in Ireland, which is about five or six times a year. I dream about Michelle’s baked goods and especially her focaccia bread sandwiches, when I’m not there. It is some of the most delicious food you’ll ever have, not just in Ireland, but anywhere! In addition to the wonderful food, the atmosphere and Café itself are so lovely.
Absolutely amazing food, staff was excellent to deal with. I booked afternoon tea for 20 people, and omg, it was outstanding. Everyone was blown away by it. Will definitely be returning soon. Thanks, Michelle and staff xx
